Rain comes pouring through the neighborhood,

screaming at everyone walking by,

not caring about who he hits.

Rain looks down on us with hatred

because he feels left out with everyone running

inside when he comes around.

Rain sleeps far away in the emptiness of the skies.

Rain also has good days, and he arrives

with the brightness of the sun,

an usual sight, and he watches the children

as they run in circles and splash in his puddles.

The children then reach down,

cup him in their hands, and throw

him back toward the sky.

Hate by J.L. (Writing Our Stories)

He climbs into us through any open passage, just so he can crawl his way into our chest. He gives off a smell of rotten eggs and sulfur....
